Second Wave of Artists Announced and Phase 2 Tickets Released

Bingley Music Live organisers, Bradford Council,  have announced a new wave of artists today adding to an already stellar line-up including Noel Gallagher, Shed Seven and Jake Bugg as festival headliners.

The organisers of the event, which based in Bradford Council-run Bingley’s Myrtle Park across the weekend of 31 August to 2 September, made the announcement as the second wave of weekend tickets were released.

Liverpool alt-rock band The Lightning Seeds have been revealed as main stage additions to Bingley Music Live 2018. The nineties favourites bring sing-along hits such as ‘Lucky You’, ‘Life Of Riley’ and ‘Pure’ to Bingley and will be sure to roll out every England fan’s favourite ‘Three Lions’ as well – perfect to continue celebrations after a hopeful home win for the team this World Cup year.

Also joining the line-up on the main stage is Spice Girl Melanie C, injecting some serious girl power into Saturday afternoon at Bingley Music Live. As well as bringing a wealth of solo work, the sporty-spice icon delivers a back catalogue of Spice Girl hits such as ‘Wannabe’, ‘2 Become 1’ and ‘Say You’ll Be There’.

Even more Main Stage action comes with the announcement of Spector; the London based indie-rock outfit rose to fame in 2012 when their debut album ‘Enjoy It While It Lasts’ reached number 12 in the UK album chart. Two years on from second album ‘Moth Boys’(2015), Spector unleashed a brand new EP ‘Untitled In D’ in 2018 with praise coming for their new, more abrasive sound.

Elsewhere, much loved Bingley Music Live ‘Discovery Stage’ returns for 2018, bringing new and emerging artists to Myrtle Park. Across the weekend music, fans can rock out with Macclesfield four-piece Spring King and take an anthem-fuelled indie rock trip with Black Honey as both bands step into second stage headliner shoes.

Also featuring on 2018’s Discovery Stage across the weekend are some of the UK’s hottest rising talents: The Night Cafe, Jordan Allen, Queen Zee, Bad Sounds, Touts, Wild Front, Nerina Pallot, Sea Girls, Red Faces, Rascalton, Rosboroughand Bryde.

Alongside this huge wave of new acts, Bingley Music Live has released the second phase of weekend tickets at a slightly increased price. Phase two tickets are priced at £85.

Phil Barker, Bradford Council’s Assistant Director for Sport and Culture, said: “This year’s Bingley Music Live is going to be huge! Tickets are selling faster that in any previous year. This is due to our outstanding headline acts and with the addition of these new acts we are on course to sell out and I would urge people to get their tickets quick before they all go. Payment plans are available to help people to spread the cost.”

Festival organisers have also announced that Child Tickets for Bingley Music Live are now completely sold out.
